About All Stars Footbal Club
All Stars was started out and launched in July of 2011
• The intention of the Program is to provide aspiring children and
young people with a platform to fulfill their dreams of becoming
top football players; to dream of making it big; and to ultimately
provide a secure and trusted environment within which they can
work towards this dream.
• Children and young people often do not have a chance to make
it out of their townships on the Cape Flats; their dreams are
brutalized by the reality of the harsh conditions of poverty;
gangs; drugs & violence; and the evident reality of low self
esteem and absence of positive role models that goes with
living on the Cape Flats.

“ A child in Sport is a Child out of Court ”
• And so we set our sights on these children & young people from the Cape Flats townships
• We have a special relationship with a children’s home where we also have our office and
small gym – 9 Pickwick Street, Salt River
• The club is presently affiliated to Safa via the Cape District Football Association
• The club has 9 teams plying their trade at the LFA
• These teams are made up of the age categories: U6 U8 U10 U12 U14 U16 U18 and 2 senior teams – all-in-all a total of 9 teams
• Each squad/age category comprises of approximately 16 players per category/team - totalling a number of approximately 150 players inclusive of coaches and admin staff
• The club does not charge the members a fee and relies on fundraising efforts to meet it’s annual costs which includes amongst others membership fees; transport costs; purchase of kits and training equipment; etc
• The club provides transport to get the players from their respective townships of Mitchells Plain; Delft; Khayelitsha; Langa & Bonteheuwel, amongst others
• We firmly believe that whilst these children and young people are with us in sport, they will
be out of court.
